Equipment

Equipment

Every device and agent Give Me Clinic holds, sorted by group. The manufacturer, the model name and the areas each one treats are listed with it.

WHY RESULTS DIFFER

Even with the same device,
the person using it makes the result.

Which layer to treat with Ultherapy and how many shots to use, what output to set the laser to. A device settles none of that on its own. It is why the same device gives different results. Give Me Clinic works to one standard, built over years of practice, and within it uses exactly the device each patient needs. Because the standard is clear, the decisions on skin layer, output and number of sessions stay steady. Rather than adding more devices, we chose to go deep with the ones we know how to handle.

Our devices and agents are sorted into six groups: lifting and firmness, texture and regeneration, pigment and vessels, body and contour, hair removal, and injectable agents. Sagging, texture and colour each call for a different device. The examination starts by telling which one it is.

We choose the device and the agent that match what the examination found, and work within the area that needs it. The follow-up afterwards is read by that same standard.

The devices and agents we treat with

The treatment times, intervals and durations given here are the reference values we set out at the consultation. They can differ with the condition of the skin, the area and the session.

Lifting & Tightening

Lifting and firmness

Every device here tightens tissue with heat. What differs is how that heat is made and how deep it reaches. We choose between them by the layer that has loosened.

The Ultherapy Prime console, with the control screen showing treatment areas and depths

Ulthera Prime

A high-intensity focused ultrasound device that gathers ultrasound to a single point, as deep as the fascia (SMAS)

It works the way a magnifying glass gathers sunlight to a point. Ultrasound is focused on one spot inside the skin, so a thermal coagulation point forms only there. No focus forms at the surface the energy passes through, so damage to the surface stays limited.

  • Three depths are treated separately: 1.5mm, 3.0mm and 4.5mm
  • A non-invasive method. The tissue being treated is checked on screen as we go
  • Change appears over about 90 days, not on the day of treatment

The Volnewmer console with handpiece holders on either side

Volnewmer · Classys

A device that delivers 6.78MHz monopolar radiofrequency into the skin

Monopolar radiofrequency makes heat inside the skin and induces coagulation in collagen tissue. The tissue tightens as that site recovers.

  • Four tip sizes, chosen to match the area being treated
  • Six cooling levels and five vibration levels, adjusted to ease the sensation during treatment
  • Energy level and shot count are set to the condition of the skin

The Thermage FLX console with its control screen and docked handpiece

Thermage FLX · Solta Medical

A lifting device that delivers heat across the dermis with monopolar radiofrequency

Radiofrequency is delivered across the dermis to coagulate collagen, and new collagen forms as that site heals. It passes over the whole treatment area rather than a single point, so we use it when the contour has grown generally heavy.

  • Radiofrequency is delivered across the dermis to induce collagen coagulation
  • As the energy is delivered, the tip reads the surface temperature and cools it
  • The result is judged by the condition two to three months later, not straight after application

The Sofwave console with its applicator holder

Sofwave · Sofwave Medical

A device that lines up ultrasound transducers to create heat at a depth of 1.5mm

Rather than gathering ultrasound to a single point, it lines up several transducers to create heat zones at the same depth. The treated zone is shallower and broader than with a point-focused method.

  • Ultrasound transducers are lined up to create heat zones at a depth of 1.5mm
  • The contact surface cools the epidermis during application
  • It does not overlap in depth with devices that treat the fascia (4.5mm)

Texture & Regeneration

Texture and regeneration

Skin boosters inject regenerative material into the dermis. Secret RF delivers radiofrequency into the dermis through micro needles, and Cellec Acne applies laser to acne lesions. LDM uses high-density ultrasound and Tiffany Multiwave uses 4-64MHz resonance energy, both during the recovery period.

Skin booster

Skin Booster

A treatment that injects regenerative material into the dermis

When thinning skin comes with fine lines and pores, we use a polynucleotide (PN) agent. When volume and firmness are the concern, we use a PLA collagen booster. Both are given over three or more sessions at four-week intervals, and one session takes about 10 to 20 minutes. On thin-skinned areas such as around the eyes, the injection depth and amount are set separately.

The Secret RF console with its control screen and the handpiece in its holder

Secret RF

A fractional device that delivers radiofrequency straight into the dermis through micro-fine needles

Fine needles pass through the epidermis and settle in the dermis, and radiofrequency is then applied for less than a second around the needle tips only. That leaves a stimulus in the dermis while limiting the load on the epidermis.

  • The handpiece and the needle electrode are chosen by the condition being treated
  • Radiofrequency is applied for less than a second around the needle tips, narrowing the extent of damage
  • The recovery period after treatment is comparatively short

Cellec · Jeisys

A combined laser that divides its wavelengths to work through inflammation and red marks stage by stage

Pustular acne does not settle if only one thing is addressed. Sebum production, active inflammation and the red marks and pigmentation left behind are all different problems.

  • Active inflammation and the marks left behind are approached separately
  • A wavelength configuration that can cover widespread lesions at once
  • The application conditions are reset by the stage the skin is at

LDM

Local Dynamic Micromassage · Wellcomet

An ultrasound care device that alternates rapidly between two ultrasound frequencies

It applies ultrasound at two frequencies, alternating rapidly between them. That makes minute pressure changes in the tissue over and over, and the stimulus acts on the moisture and the metabolic flow within the skin.

  • High-density ultrasound is applied alternately at two frequencies
  • It works through minute pressure changes rather than heat
  • Placed alongside recovery care after a laser treatment

Pigment & Vessel

Pigment and vessels

The wavelength we need depends on how deep the pigment sits, and on whether vessels show through with it. We use excel V, Cellec IPL and Laser Toning separately, according to the cause.

The excel V laser console with its handpiece

excel V · Cutera

A laser that works on pigment and vessels together with 532nm and 1064nm wavelengths

Pigment and vessels absorb light at different wavelengths. excel V uses two wavelengths separately, so pigment near the epidermis and vessels deeper down can be handled distinctly with one device.

  • Two wavelengths, 532nm and 1064nm, applied separately according to the condition
  • Two handpieces and three modes, chosen to match pigment, fine vessels or redness
  • The long-pulse 1064nm toning mode also covers pores and skin texture

Cellec IPL · Jeisys

An intense pulsed light (IPL) device that picks out the wavelength band it needs with nine filters

IPL light covers a broad band rather than a single wavelength. Deciding which band to let through, by means of a filter, is the heart of it. The more finely the filters are divided, the more closely the setting can be narrowed to the depth and degree of the pigment.

  • Nine filters divide the light into wavelength bands for application
  • Epidermal pigment over a wide area is covered in a short time
  • The filter is chosen after we check the depth and degree of the pigment

Body Contouring

Body and contouring

With the body, the thickness of the fat layer and the firmness of the skin have to be read together. InMode and ONDA PRO work on fat and firmness with heat. The lipolysis injection delivers the agent straight into a small area you can pinch.

The InMode console with its three handpieces

InMode

A radiofrequency device that works the fat layer and the dermis in separate modes. Used on the face line (double chin, deep cheek fat) and on the body

InMode uses two modes separately. FX mode delivers radiofrequency energy and electrical stimulation to the fascial and fat layers and acts on accumulated fat. FORMA mode delivers heat to the dermis and epidermis by a multipolar method to induce the production of collagen and elastin.

  • FX mode: radiofrequency energy and electrical stimulation delivered to the fascial and fat layers
  • FORMA mode: multipolar radiofrequency to induce collagen production in the dermis and epidermis

The ONDA PRO lifting console with its two handpieces

ONDA PRO

A device that uses microwave to deliver heat to the dermis and the subcutaneous fat layer

Unlike the radiofrequency and ultrasound mainly used for lifting, it uses microwave. It makes heat by vibrating the water molecules within the tissue, so the heat spreads fairly evenly even through the fat layer, which holds less water.

  • 12mm, 7mm and 3mm handpieces, used according to depth and area
  • Applied not only to the face but also to areas such as the arms, abdomen and thighs

Injectables

Injectable agents

Botulinum toxin reduces the signal travelling from nerve to muscle, so the muscle is used less for a period of time. It takes about 10 to 20 minutes depending on the area, and lasts about three to six months. Filler is injected into a hollow to restore volume and shape a contour. For both, the agent and the dose are set after checking the area and any previous treatment.

Botulinum toxin preparations

Botulinum Toxin

An injectable agent that reduces the signal reaching a muscle for a period of time

Botulinum toxin reduces the release of acetylcholine from nerve to muscle, so a muscle that had been used over and over is used less for a period of time. A fold smoothing out, and a well-developed muscle losing bulk, follow from the same principle.

  • Coretox: a Korean type A agent made with the non-toxic complex proteins removed
  • Xeomin: a formulation with the complex proteins removed

Filler

Filler

An injectable agent placed into a hollow to restore volume and shape a contour

We use the three agents below according to the area and the purpose. One session takes about 10 to 30 minutes. Swelling usually settles within two to three days and bruising within one to two weeks. Asymmetry or a raised mark can remain depending on the person, so the amount injected is decided after the examination.

Agents used

Radiesse
A calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) agent. Used where a contour needs support, such as the jawline and the nasolabial folds.
Sculptra
A poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) agent. It fills over the weeks in which collagen settles rather than straight after injection, so it is used on broad areas such as the cheeks and temples.
Juvéderm
A hyaluronic acid (HA) agent. Product lines of different viscosity are used for different areas, such as the lips, under-eyes and nose.

Principles

Six things we hold to
when we use a device

These six are the steps we follow at every treatment. They are listed in order: examination, agent, settings, disinfection, scope of treatment, explanation of side effects.

  • The examination establishes the condition, and the treatment follows from it. Consultation, treatment and follow-up run as one continuous course.
  • Genuine products, in measured amounts. For agents and consumables we show you the opening and the amount used, as they are.
  • Settings are reset for every person. Even on the same device, energy, depth and interval are set to the condition of the skin.
  • We keep to our disinfection and sterilisation procedures. Tips and cartridges that touch the skin are handled by a set procedure.
  • We use the device and the agent that match the symptom, over exactly the area that needs it. The choice comes from the layer and the area found at the examination, and the dose and the number of sessions are set within that range.
  • We always explain the possibility of side effects. Redness, swelling or a change in pigment can appear, and this differs from person to person.
