SKIN BOOSTER
Regenerative ingredients injected directly into the dermis
Creams stop at the stratum corneum. A skin booster injects regenerative ingredients straight into the dermis, working on texture, firmness and fine lines. We choose between Rejuran (PN), Juvelook (PDLLA) and hyaluronic acid agents. It takes 10 to 60 minutes after topical anaesthetic cream, and you have three or more sessions four weeks apart.
- Procedure timeAbout 10 to 60 min
- Interval3 or more sessions, 4 weeks apart
- AnaesthesiaTopical cream
- DurationAbout 1 to 6 months
Procedure time and how long it lasts vary by agent, such as Rejuran or Juvelook, so ranges are shown. We give you the exact figures at the examination.

PRODUCTS
Our products
We choose from these agents once the examination has shown your skin condition and what you want to change.
- RejuranThe base agent, PN extracted from salmon. By area we switch to Rejuran i around the eyes, or Rejuran s where scarring remains.
- Rejuran HB plusRejuran with hyaluronic acid added. We use it for people sensitive to injection pain, or whose skin needs more moisture.
- JuvelookA collagen booster combining PDLLA particles with hyaluronic acid. Used for widened pores, acne scarring and fine lines. The change shows from four to six weeks on.
- LetourUsed for the texture and fine lines of the whole face. Three or more sessions four weeks apart, with injection marks staying a day or two.
- SkinViveHyaluronic acid placed in small amounts across the cheeks and the whole face. Used when the skin is dry and the texture is rough.
- Belotero ReviveHyaluronic acid with glycerol added. Used when dryness and loss of firmness come together.
- RetigenUsed where the skin is thin and easily irritated, such as around the eyes and the neck. We lower the amount per injection and split it across sessions, which keeps pain and swelling down.

JUVELOOK
Juvelook builds collagen with PDLLA particles
Juvelook is a collagen booster that combines PDLLA (poly-D,L-lactic acid) particles with hyaluronic acid. As the particles break down they stimulate fibroblasts, so the skin makes its own collagen. Unlike a filler, which fills volume at once, the change shows from four to six weeks on. We use it for widened pores, acne scarring, fine lines and lost volume. Sessions run four weeks apart, three or more of them.

REJURAN
Rejuran is PN drawn from salmon
The main ingredient in Rejuran is polynucleotide (PN), extracted from salmon and purified. PN is close in structure to human DNA, so the foreign-body reaction is small when it is injected into the dermis. Where the epidermis and dermis have thinned, a gradual change in thickness and firmness can be expected. One course runs three or more sessions, four weeks apart.
OUR PROTOCOL
Before the ingredient, we look at the process
- Genuine product, measured doseRight before the procedure we open the product in front of you, check the lot number and the volume with you, and then begin. You see the preparation for opening as well.
- Planned one to oneThe agent and the dose are set to your skin type and your sensitivity to pain, and adjusted again at every session.
- Sterilisation and disinfectionInstruments are sterilised fresh for every procedure, and the treatment room is disinfected between procedures.
RECOMMENDED FOR
In cases like these we suggest a skin booster
The more of the six below that sound familiar, the earlier we consider a skin booster. Matching one does not mean the same agent for everyone. We look at your skin at the examination, then decide the agent and the number of sessions.
- 01Skin feels tight after cleansing and dries out fastMoisturiser holds for two or three hours, then it turns dry again. The stratum corneum is holding less water. We look at hyaluronic acid agents first.
- 02The texture is rough and make-up sits badlyFoundation gathers around the pores. More often the cause is the density of the dermis, not surface flaking. We consider Rejuran or Juvelook.
- 03Fine lines stay after your expression relaxesThey show first where the skin is thin, around the eyes and the mouth. For these areas we use an agent such as Rejuran i, placed in small amounts in shallow layers.
- 04Pores look stretched lengthwaysThis comes from the dermis losing its support, not from sebum. We look first at Juvelook, which builds collagen.
- 05Small triggers turn the skin red, and it staysThe skin barrier has weakened. Here we start the first session at a lower dose and set wider gaps between sessions.
- 06Acne marks linger for monthsIt means renewal has slowed. We look first at Rejuran (PN), and add Rejuran s if scarring is there too.
COMBINED TREATMENTS
Three treatments we combine it with
- Lifting laserDone when a slackening contour needs looking at too. It puts heat into the skin, so we book it on a separate day.
- ToningDone when melasma or dark spots are there too. Overlapping sessions keep redness going longer, so we space them out.
- Botulinum toxinDone when expression lines are there too. Whether to combine them, and in what order, is decided at the examination.
AFTERCARE
Recovery after the procedure
- Same dayRedness and injection marksA red dot and a small raised bump appear at each injection point. The bumps settle within a few hours to a day. Use a cold compress, and please skip washing your face or wearing make-up on the day.
- Days 1 to 3Swelling and bruisingSwelling is at its worst when you wake and eases through the day. A bruise turns yellow as it fades and usually clears within three days. Please avoid saunas, alcohol and hard exercise in this time. Faster circulation keeps swelling and bruising going for longer.
- Week 1Back to routineThe injection marks have mostly gone. Please keep up moisturising and sun protection.
- If something feels wrongContact the clinicIf redness, pain or swelling lasts longer than expected or gets worse, please call the clinic rather than treating it yourself. Pigmentation, inflammation and nodules can occur, and this varies from person to person.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How is a skin booster different from filler or botulinum toxin?
Filler adds volume, and botulinum toxin reduces muscle movement. A skin booster puts regenerative ingredients into the dermis and works on the skin itself. The aims differ, so they are sometimes done together.
Should I have Rejuran or Juvelook?
Rejuran puts PN into the dermis. With Juvelook, PDLLA particles break down so the skin makes its own collagen. We mainly use Rejuran for thinned skin and fine lines, and Juvelook for pores and acne scarring. They are sometimes planned together, so we decide at the examination.
How many sessions do I need?
Three or more sessions four weeks apart is the standard. It lasts about one to six months, so after that we look at your skin and decide whether to add more.
Can I go about my day straight afterwards?
In most cases, yes, from the day of the procedure. Injection marks and redness stay for a day or two, so if you have something important coming up, please book three or four days ahead of it.
How can I check which product is used?
Right before the procedure we open the product in front of you, check the lot number and the volume with you, and then begin. The product name and volume used are recorded in your notes.
What side effects can occur?
Redness, swelling, bruising and pain at the injection sites are common, and usually settle within three days. Pigmentation, inflammation and nodules can occur rarely, so please tell us your medical history and any medication you are taking before treatment. Contact the clinic straight away if anything feels wrong.
