Applicable law
Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilisation and Information Protection, Article 50-2 (Prohibition of unauthorised collection of email addresses, etc.) ① No person shall collect email addresses from an internet website that has expressly stated its refusal of such collection, by using a program or other technical device that collects email addresses automatically. ② No person shall sell or distribute email addresses collected in breach of paragraph ①. ② No person shall use email addresses for the transmission of information knowing that their collection, sale and distribution are prohibited under paragraphs ① and ②.
