How It Works
How it works
Pigment and vessels absorb light at different wavelengths. excel V uses two wavelengths separately, so pigment near the epidermis and vessels deeper down can be handled distinctly with one device. A toning mode using long-pulse 1064nm delivers heat to the dermis, so pores, texture and redness are looked at together. We choose between two handpieces and three modes according to the condition.

- The treatment times, intervals and durations given here are the reference values we set out at the consultation. They can differ with the condition of the skin, the area and the session.
Mechanism
What it treats, and how
- 01
532nm, pigment near the epidermis
A shorter wavelength is absorbed at a shallower depth. We use it for faint spots and blemishes that sit in the epidermis.
- 02
1064nm, vessels deeper down
A longer wavelength travels deeper. We use it where vessels show through, as in facial redness or dilated capillaries.
- 03
The long-pulse toning mode
Delivering heat to the dermis with long-pulse 1064nm lets us cover pores, texture and redness together. It is a setting that looks at texture as well as pigment.
- 04
Two handpieces, three modes
There are modes for pigment, fine vessels and redness. We check which is the main cause now and then set the combination.
RECOMMENDED FOR
Who we suggest this for
Even if none of these apply, we look at your skin at the consultation first, then advise.
- If facial redness or dilated capillaries are on your mind
- If you have pigmentation and redness together
- If you want to look at enlarged pores and skin texture as well
- If your skin is reactive and you would rather have the treatment split into separate settings
FAQ
Frequently asked about excel V
Can redness be treated as well?
We approach it with the 1064nm wavelength and the redness mode. Redness has several causes, so at the consultation we first identify the type and then set the conditions.
Can I wear make-up straight after treatment?
It depends on the intensity applied and the area. Redness can remain, so if you have something on that day, tell us in advance and we will adjust accordingly.
