How It Works
How it works
Monopolar radiofrequency makes heat inside the skin and induces coagulation in collagen tissue. The tissue tightens as that site recovers. The treatment tip comes in four sizes, so a narrow area such as around the eyes and a broad one such as the cheek are handled differently. The tip is curved and the handpiece is tilted, so the application follows the curve of the face.

- About these figures
- The treatment times, intervals and durations given here are the reference values we set out at the consultation. They can differ with the condition of the skin, the area and the session.
Mechanism
What it treats, and how
- 01
6.78MHz monopolar radiofrequency
Monopolar radiofrequency delivers heat broadly and deeply. The heat made inside the skin induces coagulation in collagen tissue, and the tissue tightens as that site heals.
- 02
Four tip sizes
A narrow, sharply curved area such as around the eyes and a broad one such as the cheek or under the chin cannot take the same tip. We change between four sizes as we move across the area.
- 03
A tip designed to follow the curve
The tips are curved in a hidden-edge form, and the handpiece uses cushioning and tilt. The face is not a flat plane, so how closely the tip sits against it decides how evenly the heat goes in.
- 04
Six cooling levels, five vibration levels
Cooling chills the surface and vibration spreads the sensation. Both are adjustable by level, and we raise or lower them during treatment to match what you feel.
RECOMMENDED FOR
Who we suggest this for
Even if none of these apply, we look at your skin at the consultation first, then advise.
- If you want to settle lines and sagging skin together
- If you want to keep up regular skin care
- If you want the treatment carried out with the sensation kept low
- If your everyday schedule leaves little room for a separate recovery period
FAQ
Frequently asked about Volnewmer
What is the sensation like during treatment?
It is carried out after topical anaesthesia, with six cooling levels and five vibration levels adjusted as we go. Tell us how it feels and we will change the levels accordingly.
How does it differ from Ultherapy Prime?
The layer reached differs. Ultherapy Prime gathers ultrasound to a point and reaches the fascia (SMAS). Volnewmer delivers heat broadly across the dermis with radiofrequency. We choose by the layer that has loosened.
Is a recovery period needed?
In many cases no separate recovery period is needed and ordinary daily life is possible on the day of treatment. Redness or a feeling of heat can remain in some people, and we explain that in advance at the consultation.
