How It Works
How it works
Unlike the radiofrequency and ultrasound mainly used for lifting, it uses microwave. It makes heat by vibrating the water molecules within the tissue, so the heat spreads fairly evenly even through the fat layer, which holds less water. Three handpieces reaching different depths and covering different areas are used separately. The deeper one acts on the fat layer and on deep collagen fibres to stimulate the fibroblasts. The shallower one contracts collagen fibres nearer the surface. The widest, 12mm, covers large areas such as the abdomen and thighs under the same conditions. Give Me Clinic adopted ONDA PRO early in Korea and has run it since. The dosing by area and the intervals between sessions we work to are the ones built up over that time.

Mechanism
What it treats, and how
- 01
It uses microwave
Radiofrequency makes heat as current passes through tissue. Ultrasound makes it as waves gather at a point. Microwave makes heat by vibrating the water molecules within the tissue directly. That is why the heat spreads fairly evenly even through the fat layer, which holds less water.
- 02
The deep handpiece, fat and deep collagen
The handpiece that reaches the deeper layers prompts the breakdown of fat cells and softens deep collagen fibres to stimulate the fibroblasts. Its job is to create the starting point from which new collagen forms.
- 03
The shallow handpiece, surface collagen
Controlled energy is delivered to collagen fibres nearer the surface to induce some contraction. We change between the two handpieces so that the deeper layers and the surface can be worked separately within one session.
- 04
The 12mm handpiece, a wide area
The handpiece with the widest contact surface. We use it for large areas such as the abdomen and thighs, and for places where fat has settled evenly, such as under the jaw. It covers more ground in one pass, so the same area takes less time.
- 05
We use it beyond the face
It delivers heat to the fat layer, so the same principle applies to areas such as the arms, abdomen and thighs. We recalculate the application time and the number of sessions for each area.
RECOMMENDED FOR
Who we suggest this for
Even if none of these apply, we look at your skin at the consultation first, then advise.
- If a blurred double chin and jawline is on your mind
- If you want to see a change in firmness by something other than surgery
- If your schedule means you need to go back to your routine immediately after treatment
- If you want to talk through the arms, abdomen and thighs as well as the face
FAQ
Frequently asked about ONDA PRO
How does it differ from radiofrequency lifting?
The way the heat is made differs. ONDA PRO uses microwave to vibrate the water molecules within the tissue, so heat is delivered fairly evenly even through the fat layer, which holds less water.
How many sessions will I need?
Three to five sessions at intervals of three to four weeks make one cycle. The number varies with the condition of the skin and the area, so we review and set it again at each session.
